Subject Description: Wood stool covered with brass repousse. Composed of two levels: the bottom tier represents a horizontal crocodile, the top tier represents pillars. Seat curves gently on PR and PL edges; large, stylized flower in center with geometric patterning radiating from flower. Top tier has five pillars; one supports center of seat, other four arranged in square around center. Central pillar with geometric patterning configured on diagonal axis; four pillars with rotating patterns of horizontal lines, diamond-shapes, and triangles. Base of top tier covered with geometric patterning. Second tier with horizontal crocodile on front and back of stool; two pillars positioned where front and rear legs should be for each crocodile. Crocodile oriented with head at PL when looking at front and/ or rear frontally; crocodile equals length of base of top tier. Crocodile represented with raised eyes; raised rectangles on body; raised center-line from tip of nose of end of tail; and scale-like patterning thorughout. Four pillars with scale-like patterning. Base covered with geometric patterning. Small areas of green patina throughout.
