Context:

Cyprus is located near the Levant and Egypt, and many Archaic works found there show a curious mixture of Egyptian and Mesopotamian motifs. In the center of this bowl, a four-winged deity in Assyrian garb slays a lion. In the bordering zones, hunters and various animals are displayed in an Egyptianizing style.
