Note: The only Mitchell map printed on silk (Threads of History 84 says linen, but our copy is printed on silk). The map is taken from Mitchell's 1835 Compendium of The Internal Improvements of The United States without any changes. Inset maps show the environs of: Niagara Falls, Baltimore and Washington, Charleston, Hartford and New Haven, Albany, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. Map is without color. This copy has been cleaned and mounted on paper and linen with some small losses. Includes distance chart. Prime meridians: Washington and Greenwich.
