Note: Has J. Arrowsmith map of Africa by Edward Stanford, 1878. This was the last year this Atlas was published by Mitchell - Bradley took over later in the year (LOC copy for 1880 has Bradley as Publisher) and continued the editions of the 1880s until Huber's edition of 1890. The last edition was by A.R. Keller in 1893. Full color with the exception of some printed color in the Turkey map. Bound in half leather brown cloth covered boards with ornately embossed design and title reading "Mitchell's New General Atlas" in gilt and black ink.
