Note: All ten views uncolored. Oliver Allen's residence is at the corner of English and Liberty Streets. The pastor of St. Vincent's is the Rev. J.F. Cleary. Petaluma Marble Works view includes a advertisement and description of their business. The house of S.M. Martin is an unusual octagonal shape. The Bowles residence depicts a wide variety of trees with elegant men and women walking the grounds.

Bound in embossed half leather dark green cloth covered boards with "New Historical Atlas Of Sonoma County, California. Illustrated. Thos. H. Thompson & Co. 1877." stamped in gilt on the front cover and blind stamped on the back.
