Cram’s unrivaled atlas of the world, engraved, printed and published by the George F. Cram Company in Chicago, 1925. Bound in board covered in green linen, with gilt title on front cover; 403 pages. Atlas contains 182 maps, 34 portraits, 14 photographic views and one bird’s-eye view, along with two tables of contents, an illustration of flags of various nations, and several texts related to World War I. The maps include new revisions for the principal cities of the United States, as well as representations of Europe dating from 3000 B.C. to 1925, including a chronological depiction of World War I in large scale, accompanied by photographic views. The maps feature updated international political boundaries, including geographical changes caused by WWI. All the maps are indexed showing population figures according to the new federal census. Additionally, the volume includes statistical tables and a descriptive gazetteer of each state and foreign country. The atlas is intended to be included within the educational set entitled Cram's "Portable. Washable" Map And Atlas Outfit, a set of ten wall maps housed inside of a metal briefcase.
