1926 edition of the Road atlas of the United States in 48 pages, 31x43, folded into cover 31x22. Clason Map Company produced its road atlas of the United States, 1923-931. A major change in the format of the Touring Atlas occurred in 1926. The page size of the atlas was increased, with the individual maps now folding out from the atlas. This year road maps of Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia, Canada have been added. The maps of pervious editions were no longer used. Most of the individual maps were titled "Mileage Maps and Best roads of," and they were now printed in blue on a white background. Many of the maps used in this atlas were simply larger, but unchanged versions of the maps used in the 1924 atlas. The picture on the folded cover of this atlas was similar to that on the late 1924/early 1925 atlas, shows color illustration, with a single car driving under a large tree. Unfolded cover shows illustrations of U.S. tourist attractions, "Wonders of America" was added to the inside cover in 1925, which continued (with some variation in the pictures through 1929. The main title page now read "Clason's Touring Atlas of the United States" and includes index of states and distances. Pages 2-3 with "Logs of Transcontinental Trails" replaces "Pole Markings. Maps showing paved roads, road distances, road numbers, populations, trail logs.
