Atlas has no title page and index (but supplied in facsimile of the 1653 edition), title provided by cataloger based on Mireille Pastoureau," The French Atlas (16th-17th centuries): Bibliographic Directory and Study ", Paris, 1984. The "Geographic Theater" of Mariette succeeds that of Tavernier of 106 plates, but it offers 60 maps, dated 1627-1646, edited by Pierre-Jean Mariette and engraved by Michel van Lochom, Melchior Tauernier and Abraham Peyrounin, Abraham. This atlas copy composed of 57 maps, lacks maps 41 "Carte de Provence", 42 "Description des Isles de Ste. Margrite & St. Honorat" and 54 "Carte la Savoye". For map 42 see Record #12100.041.
