O'Shaughnessy, who, according to DAB, "was actively engaged in designing and constructing the water supply of twenty sugar plantations in Hawaii, 1899-1906, and built three aqueducts, each about ten miles long." Several ms additions on the map indicate interest in the river systems of Oahu and probably pertain to these projects. This is a scarce map of early Hawaiian development.
