Wheat's copy of the 1847 edition is essentially the same as the 1846 edition, this copy is later in the year because it adds many towns in Mexico (probably to reflect battles, etc.) and it adds two tables, of population and distances in Mexico, which are placed in the ocean below North America. Full Title Ireland. New York: Ensign, Bridgman, & Fanning, 156 William St. Entered ... 1847, by H. Phelps ... New York. Lossing & Barritt.

Note Broadside map in full color, portraits, historical sketch. Copyright is by H. Phelps, 1847. This may be a later reissue by EB&F, which we would date at 1855 based on finding it with two other EB&F broadsides of 1855. This was probably issued to appeal to the desire of recent immigrants from Ireland for information and images of the home country. Relief shown pictorially and by hachures.
