From the Finley 1826 plate. As in the Finley, this is really two maps, one of Florida, the other the West Indies, plus a separate comparative chart titled "Comparative Elevation of the Principal Mountains Cities &c. in North & South America". The Florida counties have been updated from the Finley 1826, as well as many topographical features in Florida, Georgia and Alabama (although no changes were noted from the 1831 Mitchell issue). Mitchell has also substituted his borders for Finley's. the full color map is folded into black leather covers 13.5x8 with "Florida & West-Indies" and border in gilt. Prime meridian is Washington D.C. Relief shown by hachures.
