Large uncolored world map on Mercator's projection segmented and mounted on linen panels, folded to fit in a custom made box measuring 7 1/2 x 20 1/2. First published in 1883, with "additions to 1889." Good detail along coasts and in oceans and a good deal of Antarctica is delineated. Hydrographic chart of the world showing ocean currents. Includes detail note on the navigation of North and South Pacific, and Note: "This chart is merely intend to mark off vessel's track, so that for general purpose of navigation reference should be made to the larger ocean charts ..." Relief shown by hachures. Depth shown by soundings. Navigation routes and voyages marked in color. Also package includes a news paper article by Marcy B. Darnall, titled " Admiral Jackson Heads Spanish War Veterans", and Richard Harrison Jackson's biographical sketch, published in Herald The Florence, Volume 49. Florence, Alabama, Friday, January 13, 1933.
