This advertising box appears in many Colton maps from the mid 1860's to about 1875. Uncolored, except for blue and red railroad routes. Map is folded into dark brown cloth covers 14.5x9 with "Colton's Map Showing The New-Haven, Middletown, And Boston Railroad, And its Connections. G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co." stamped in gilt. Prime meridian is Washington D.C.
