This is one of Arrowsmith" largest scale maps, showing England and Wales in great detail. The individual sheets were sold separately by Arrowsmith so it is possible that this copy was never complete. Relief shown by hachures and spot heights. Depths shown by soundings on some sheets. Printed in 18 numbered sections on 17 sheets. Sections 17 and 18 printed on same sheet. Includes text, diagram of longitude/ latitude grid, statistical table of county areas, and diagram of "Scales shewing the unequal shrinking of paper." (Sheet 6). 1 in. to 3 English statute miles.
