Note:
First edition. A second edition was issued in 1858, no later editions. Shows eastern Nebraska with most of the settlements still close to the Missouri River. There are three red lines, one going west from Decatur, one following the Platte River west from the Missouri, and one going west from a point just south of Otoe City on the Missouri. These may be emigrant routes or they may be dividing the Territory into districts. In embossed blue cloth covers 15x9 with title "Ream's Sectional Map Of Nebraska E. Mendenhall" in gold; inside front cover has an ad for J.H. Colton's maps and atlases. Full color by county.
