This is an atlas of 15 sectional maps at 1:1,000,000 scale that if joined would form a map thirteen feet long. The lithography is well executed by P. Cadot i Ca. (see Tooley's dictionary of mapmakers rev. ed.). Pissis also published a physical atlas of Chile titled "Geografia Fisica de la Republica de Chile" in 1875 (Phillips, 5144). Map is without color. This copy is lacking map #12. Atlas is bound in quarter leather dark brown cloth covered boards with "Mapa de la Republica de Chile por A. Pissis. Ramon Serrano M." stamped in gilt.
