This a huge 13 part map of the United States railroads from the east coast to the 105th meridian. When all 13 parts are joined, they form a map more than 12 feet high by 20 feet wide. Railroads are shown in great detail at a scale of 8 miles to 1 inch, making this one of the largest scale railroad maps of the late 19th century. 2 additional maps show the U.S. from the west coast east to the 93rd meridian, at a smaller scale. Each one of the parts is dissected and folded into covers with "President's Office, I.C.R.R. CO." stamped in gold, along with the major cities that form the boundaries of the section. The I.C.R.R. was the Illinois Central Railroad and Stuyvesant Fish was its president from 1887 to 1906, so these maps were most likely his personal copies. Also included in the set are two additional maps of the US west to the pacific, at a smaller scale.
