Merriam & Moore issued the first Franklin Globes in Troy, New York, around 1850, and the Globes were issued by various successor firms up to about 1896, in sizes ranging from 6"" to 30"". Dated by ""National Park"" shown for Yellowstone National Park (established 1872). Globe measures 12 inches in diameter with its full height including base at 18 inches."
