Pub Note: "Very detailed early map of Denver and vicinity, with four vignettes of buildings and views. Shows land ownership. Has a General Directory of Offices, Churches, Schools, etc. on the left side, with a separate listing on the right side of Hotels and Places of Amusement. Entered in 1878 and probably the first edition. Phillips lists an 1874 map with the same title but by Thayer and Swindler and with slightly different dimensions. Thayer issued an 1883 Denver map titled ""The City of Denver."" Folded into brown cloth covers 15x9.5 with purple label reading ""Thayer's Map Of Denver. Price, $1.50."" in gold print. Scarce."
